The Public Education Alliance is a coalition of teachers, principals and other professionals, who, with parents and families, are concerned about the future of public education.
The Alliance calls on the political parties to value public education, develop a vision for the future of Tasmanian children and invest in their education.
The Alliance rejects the proposed cuts to education, including the withdrawal of $7million that currently limits primary class sizes, the failure to index school budgets, and the employment of only four additional school psychologists. The Alliance rejects forced school closures.
